The
VLMP is a
Maine statewide organization dedicated to the monitoring of the state's
lakes and ponds water quality through the use of trained volunteers.
As of 2013
the pond has 1 monitor certified for Secchi disk readings and nutrient
collection (and soon dissolved oxygen) and 3 for invasive plant
identification and/or surveys.
Since
the
program attempts to collect Secchi data twice a month May through September
and
since many of us are not on the pond for that length of time, more than
1 volunteer will be needed. If you are interested in joining me, please
